Challenge: Standing out in the most convenience store-dense region in the country

The Southeast region of the United States where GoMart operates is home to nearly 37,000 convenience stores, making it the most convenience store-dense region in the country – which means competition is steep. Additionally, convenience stores and fuel brands struggle with reaching customers between fill-ups and routine stops. GoMart, with a vast but hard-to-activate customer base, was looking to leverage its mobile app to deepen engagement with existing customers and ultimately drive fuel gallon growth. 

Solution: Turning play into fuel rewards

GoMart partnered with LoyaltyPlay to bridge mobile gaming experiences with real-world fuel rewards for their customers. To do this, GoMart set up a new offer where customers could earn an instant fuel discount simply by downloading and playing a featured mobile game.
