The history of Mistplay: How we pioneered play-and-earn for mobile

Nearly ten years ago in 2016, our co-founders Henri Machalani and Eugene Joannides recognized that mobile gaming was ready for its next evolution. While players happily invested time in their favorite games, there was untapped potential to deepen the player-publisher connection and make mobile gaming a more two-sided marketplace. Meanwhile, publishers sought better ways to engage, retain, and grow their player base. 

Mistplay became the bridge between these needs, and in 2017, we pivoted from a simple testing platform to the industry’s first play-and-earn reward program for mobile gamers – ultimately striving to be the best way to play mobile games for everyone, everywhere. 

Today, that vision powers a global phenomenon:
