What is an audience network?
An audience network is a collection of third-party apps and digital properties connected through a single platform that allows advertisers to reach users across multiple apps in one campaign. Rather than managing separate user acquisition campaigns on each app, advertisers can use an audience network to tap into a much larger audience pool built from various publishers across app categories and verticals.
For example, the Mistplay Audience Network connects game advertisers to an ecosystem of LoyaltyPlay publisher partners across finance, restaurant, shopping, fuel apps, and more to extend the reach of their UA campaigns.
There are two main sides of an audience network, based on how they interact with the inventory (users).
- Supply: The publisher side of the audience network. This refers to the app publishers and brands that integrate into the network to allow access to advertise to their user base.
- Demand: The advertiser side of the network. This refers to the brands and mobile game studios looking to advertise their games or offers to the users within the other apps.
How does an audience network work?
Audience networks operate by aggregating inventory from multiple publisher partners.
- Publishers join the network: App publishers and brands integrate with the network to make their user base available to advertisers.
- Advertisers launch campaigns: Brands and game advertisers target users across the entire network through a single campaign interface.
- Smart distribution: The network automatically distributes ads across partner apps, optimizing placement based on performance, user behavior, and advertiser goals.
